What is photobiomodulation?
Photobiomodulation is not an IR sauna. And it’s not a tanning bed
Photobiomodulation is a therapy using red and near-infrared light that stimulates cellular function and supports ATP production in the mitochondria — the energy source inside your cells.
It is used by:
- doctors and functional medicine practitioners,
- physiotherapists,
- athletes,
- biohackers,
- aesthetic clinics,
- longevity clinics,
- wellness centers,
- and increasingly by people at home.
More than 50,000 studies explore the effects of red and near-infrared light across various areas of health and performance.

PERSONAL STORY
Jasmina Kandorfer
Jasmina Kandorfer — one of the pioneers of photobiomodulation and red light therapy in Europe
As a healthcare professional, Jasmina Kandorfer left the conventional system and more than 10 years ago created the Slovenian TV show and wellness platform Klepet ob kavi, dedicated to healthy living and preventive health education.
As a world traveler and researcher, she has collaborated with private clinics, therapists, and holistic experts around the world, particularly in the fields of functional medicine, biohacking, regeneration, and cellular energy.
Her work combines traditional knowledge systems such as Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda with modern technologies of the future — including photobiomodulation and red light therapy, which she has personally used since 2019.
She was also among the first to introduce this technology to Slovenia and the broader European region through educational content and practical protocols for safe and effective use.

Frequently Asked Questions
Share information about your brand with your customers. Describe a product, make announcements, or welcome customers to your store.
How long does a session take?
5–20 minutes daily, depending on the protocol.
When can I expect results?
The fastest results are usually related to pain relief. Effects related to sleep, bone density, and similar areas may take several weeks — typically at least 3 cellular cycles, or about one month.
Does it heat the body?
Not significantly. This is not an IR sauna.
Can it be used every day?
Most people use it regularly as part of their wellness routine. For consistency, it’s recommended to create a dedicated space where you can comfortably use the therapy while reading, drinking tea, meditating, etc.
What is the difference between an IR sauna and photobiomodulation?
An IR sauna primarily heats the body, while PBM primarily focuses on cellular stimulation. Infrared saunas create additional stress on the body through heat exposure, while photobiomodulation works at the cellular level without significantly heating the body.
Do I need eye protection?
Eye protection is not necessary, although looking directly into the LEDs may feel uncomfortable.
Do I need to be undressed during therapy?
Not necessarily. Simply expose the area you wish to treat. For general wellness use, many people prefer using it after their morning shower.
Does it interact with medications?
The panel is considered safe, but consultation with a physician is recommended if you are taking photosensitive medications (e.g. tetracyclines, digoxin).
Can children use red light therapy?
Yes, under adult supervision. Children under 12 should use approximately half of the recommended session time. Home use for infants should only be considered under guidance from a qualified holistic physician.
Can red light therapy be used on animals?
Yes, it is also commonly used as supportive therapy in veterinary settings.
When should I expect results?
Results vary from person to person. Consistency is key.
Can near-infrared LED light be seen?
Red light is visible, while near-infrared LED light is invisible to the human eye.
Is it better to buy a panel elsewhere in Europe or from another provider?
We offer competitive pricing thanks to our strong relationship with the manufacturer.
Do well-known public figures use photobiomodulation?
The list is long, but names you may recognize from the sports world include Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Michael Phelps, and Lindsey Vonn. Celebrities who have publicly discussed red light therapy include Madonna, Jennifer Aniston, Victoria Beckham, Kate Hudson, Jessica Alba, and the Kardashian family.
