The science behind the ingredients
  • Acerola is a natural source of vitamin C, for which EFSA recognizes a range of authorized claims. It contributes to normal immune system function, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, to the protection of cells from oxidative stress, to normal nervous system function, and it increases iron absorption.
  • Spirulina and chlorella are among the most studied so-called superfoods. Spirulina is rich in phycocyanin, a blue-green antioxidant, and in protein. Meta-analyses have linked its intake to a favourable effect on the lipid profile. Chlorella is known for its high chlorophyll content and for research into its role in binding unwanted substances and supporting immune cells.
  • Young wheatgrass and barley grass (gluten-free) are a dense source of chlorophyll and plant nutrients.
  • Broccoli sprouts provide sulforaphane, a compound intensively studied for activating the body's own antioxidant defence pathways (Nrf2).
